2008 Show News

 

Marko's Collies started out 2008 with a bang. Marko's Quest for Gems "Molly" took Best of Breed and a Group 4 at the Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers show on Jan 13.

 

Marko's Joint Venture "Vinnie" took W. D. for a 4 pt major at the Tacoma Kennel Club Jan 11 with two 4 pt majors at both the Overlake Collie Club Jan 10 and the Puyallup Dog Fanciers on Jan 13. On Feb 9th at the Linn County K.C. show Vinnie took Winner Dog, Best of Winners, Best Bred by and Best of Breed under Dr. Hertz. He then went on to be one of six pulled in the Herding Group, then in the Bred-By Herding Group, he took a Group 4. vinnie now has 12 points, one major

 

At his first shows our just one year old Marko's Tried to -B- Blue took a 4 pt major at the Sammanish K.C. show Jan 12th.

 

Marko's Sumrwynquest Colt Brennen (Colt) at his first shows at 10 months old picked up 8 pts, both majors on Jan 19-20 under Mr. & Mrs Hubbell in Hawaii.

 

August 2007

 

8/11 - Our newest champion rough collie - CH. Marko's Ultimate Choice. "Connor" finished his title at the Nisqually Kennel Club show under Irene Bivin on August 11, 2007 just 3 months after his second birthday going Winner Dog, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed.
 

July 2007

 

6/22 - Marko's Joint Venture "Vinnie" took Winner Dog, Best Opposite Sex in the puppy class at the Portland Kennel Club show July 22, 2007 under Fred Bassett. "Vinnie" currently has 3 points.
 

May 2007

 

5/6 - Marko's Ultimate Choice "Connor" took Winner Dog and Best of Winners on Sunday May 6th at the Olympia Dog Fanciers Association under Mr. Carl Anderson. That brings this one yr old to 13 points, both majors.
 

April 2007

 

4/13 - Marko's Quest for Gems "Molly" finished with back to back majors at the Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club Show on April 13th and 14th under Mr. Lowell Davis and Mrs. Christina Hubbel. "Molly" is now a champion.
 

March 2007

 

3/4 - Marko's Ultimate Choice "Connor" took back to back 4 pt majors at the Superstition Kennel Club show in Scottsdale, Arizona on March 4th & 5th, under Mr. Frank McCartha and Mrs. Sondra Esporite. He was beautifully presented by Jean Gauche-Hargis.
 

November 2006

 

11/12 - At The Pacific Northwest Collie Specialty, Marko's Ultimate Choice took a 4 pt Reserve Winners Dog and Marko's She's Got It took a 4 pt Rough Reserve Winners Bitch.
 
11/11 - Marko's Back-N-Black "Ace" took Rough Winners Dog for a 4 point major at the Pacific Northwest Collie Specialty. Ace now has 13 points, one major.
 

September 2006

 

9/24 - Marko's Ultimate Choice "Connor"picked up two more points, going WD on September 23rd and the 24th at the Gig Harbor Kennel Club.
 
9/21 - We are proud to announce our newest champion - CH. Marko's Curtain Call. Liza, handled by Heather Newcomb, finished with a major on September 21, 2006 at the Gallatin Dog Club.
 

August 2006

 

8/19 - Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, was WB, BOW and BOB at the Olympic Kennel Club show and currently has 10 points.
 
8/13 - Marko's Touched by an Angel was WB, and BOS at the Nisqually Kennel Club show and now has 5 points.
 
8/12 - Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, was WB, BOW and BOB at the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club.

July 2006

7/29 - Marko's Touched by an Angel was WB, BOS at the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club and now has 3 points.
 
7/30 - Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, was WB, BOW and BOB at the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club and now has 8 points.

March 2006

3/11 - Marko's Curtain Call went WB, BOS for 2 pts. at the Seattle KC show. Marko's Ultimate Choice, at his first show, took WD, BOW and BOB for 2 pts.
 
3/26 - Marko's Tantric Karma, co-owned with Rogers McCullum, took a 5 pt major reserve at the So. Bay Collie Club, an entry of 32 bitches. Marko's Back-N-Black went WD both days at a recent California show. Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, has been out at the shows and now has 6 pts. Marko's Double Indemnity, co-owned with Rogers McCullum, took three major reserves and a 4 pt. major at the California Collie Clan shows.

August 2005

8/20 - Marko's Double Indemnity, co-owned with Rogers McCullum, went WB, BOW and BOB at the Olympic KC show. Her daughter, Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, was Reserve WB. Marko's Back-N-Black went WD, BOW and BOB from the puppy class at the Nisqually KC show under John Connolly. Marko's Quest for Gems, co-owned with Gayle McWilliams, was Reserve WB from the puppy class at her first show.
 
8/28 - Marko's Double Indemnity, co-owned with Rogers McCullum, was WB, BOW and BOB under Jim Noe at the Sammamish KC show.

July 2005

Marko's Back-N-Black debuted in the 9-12 class at Mt. Vernon KC on the 2nd, going WD, BOW and BOB. He also took WD on Sunday, the 3rd. His sister, Marko's She's Got It was Reserve WB both days. Check out our puppy page for a repeat of this litter!

May 2005

CH. Marko's Little Hematite HIT, CGC, CD earned her Rally Novice title, one of the first collies in Alaska to achieve the title. She earned this title in three consecutive shows. She also went Best Veteran at the Collie Club of Alaska specialty. Kanuti is 11 years young!

April 2005

CH. Marko's Sweet Temptation finished her championship with a major at the Ephrata- Moses Lake KC on the 16th. She is our third champion in a month! CH. Overland Summer Vacation finished his championship at the Timberland Valley Kennel Club on the 10th! Also at Timberland Valley, Marko's Curtain Call picked up two more points.

March 2005

CH. Marko's Classic Design finished his championship in style at the Inland Empire Collie Club specialty with a 4 point major under judge Carl Williford! Tucker was beautifully handled by Heather Newcomb.

February 2005

Overland Summer Vacation went to the Central Virginia Collie Club and took a 3 point major. He now has 14 points, both majors!

January 2005

Marko's Curtain Call went to the Tualatin Kennel Club show in Portland and was WB, BOS on January 23rd. She now has 10 pts, 1 major. Marko's Sweet Temptation went WB, BOW, BOS to BOV and BOS to BOB for a 5 point major at the Overlake Collie Club specialty under judge Ann Cross on January 15th. Marko's Curtain Call went WB, BOS for a 4 point major at the Puyallup Valley Dog Fancier's under judge Monica Canestrini on January 16th. Marko's Tantric Karma, co-owned with Roger McCullum, was RWB at Overlake Collie Club and at Puyallup Valley Dog Fancier's.
